Thank you for choosing SoulPray. This application is built on a simple conviction: that beginning each day in prayer is worth protecting. By downloading or using the SoulPray app (the “App”), you are entering into a binding agreement with the developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the App. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
SoulPray is an iOS application that transforms your morning screen-unlock routine into a moment of intentional prayer. The App uses Apple’s SpeechAnalyzer framework to listen as you read a short AI-generated prayer aloud; once the prayer is complete, your device unlocks. Core functionality includes:
The App integrates with Apple’s Screen Time framework to provide its locking functionality. Use of this feature must comply with Apple’s applicable guidelines and policies at all times. SoulPray is a complement to, not a replacement for, your personal spiritual practices, your church community, or professional pastoral counsel.
The App is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store and is suitable for all ages. However, you must be at least 13 years of age to independently agree to these Terms and use the App. If you are under 13, your parent or legal guardian must consent on your behalf. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian should review and agree to these Terms with you.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their minor children’s use of the App and for any subscription purchases made on their behalf.
SoulPray does not require you to create an account. All personal data — including your prayer history, streak data, mood entries, and journal entries — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s CoreData framework. We do not operate user accounts, and your spiritual data is never transmitted to our servers.
When you choose to sign in with Apple or Google (offered as a convenience at the end of onboarding), this is used solely to facilitate subscription validation and restore purchases across devices. No prayer content or spiritual data is associated with your sign-in identity on our backend.
We may collect anonymised, aggregated analytics about how the App is used (such as session length and feature engagement) to improve the product. This data cannot be used to identify you. We do not sell data to third parties, and we do not share data with advertisers.

Access to SoulPray’s core features requires an active paid subscription. Subscriptions are offered in three plans, with pricing displayed at the point of purchase in your local currency:
Free Trials: If a free trial is available, you will not be charged until the trial period ends. To avoid being charged, you must cancel your subscription before the trial expires through your Apple ID Settings.
Auto-Renewal: Weekly and Annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle or store your payment information. Subscription management and billing are handled via StoreKit 2 and RevenueCat.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access until then.
Refunds: All purchases are governed by Apple’s refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not offer refunds outside of Apple’s standard policy.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. You will be notified of any price changes, and continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
Prayers presented within the App are generated using artificial intelligence via the Claude API, developed by Anthropic, PBC. All AI inference is routed through our secure Cloudflare Worker backend — the Claude API is never called directly from your device.

We apply content filters to prevent the generation of inappropriate or harmful material. However, AI systems are not infallible. If you encounter prayer content you find theologically objectionable or inappropriate, please contact us at the address below.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the App without notice if we determine, in our reasonable discretion, that you have violated these Terms.
SoulPray integrates a small number of trusted third-party services to deliver its core functionality:
Each third-party provider operates under its own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices of these providers, though we select them with care. Your use of the App constitutes acknowledgement that these services may process data as described in their own policies.
The SoulPray name, logo, interface design, original copy, and all associated intellectual property are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
Scripture quotations retrieved via api.bible are subject to the licensing terms of their respective publishers as specified in the api.bible documentation. AI-generated prayer text is provided to you under a personal, non-transferable licence for your own devotional use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise any content generated by the App without our prior written consent.
SoulPray is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that: (a) the App will operate uninterrupted or error-free; (b) AI-generated prayers will meet your theological expectations; (c) voice recognition will achieve 100% accuracy for all speech patterns and accents; or (d) any particular spiritual outcome will result from use of the App.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or emotional distress.
In jurisdictions where limitations of liability are restricted, our total liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in subscription fees in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this document and, where material changes are made, notify you via in-app notice or push notification. Your continued use of the App after updated Terms have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to any revised Terms, you must stop using the App and cancel your subscription before the effective date of the change.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply.
